Stop Motion

collecting ideas together for a stop motion idea and the final product and reasoning behind concept
For this task, we were given the brief to create a stop motion linking to our current project and to work in small groups. For this stop motion, we wanted to explore colour and contrast in the lighting/tones to link to my project and then to link to Niamh's project, we kept the tones cool of the sea and the bright pink tones of the jellyfish link to her underwater/ocean environment she wanted to achieve.
We wanted to create a stop motion that would look as if the fabric was crawling up her and flowing around her on its own, so we attached the white fabric to a long piece of invisible thread and wrapped it around the areas of which we wanted it to flow. This was so that when it was pulled from behind the camera, it could flow through these areas, producing the effect to the eye that it was moving on its own. Again, linking to the flowing of things underwater and the movement of fabric in contrast to the stiff human body;linking back to the title 'Juxtaposition'.
This is a small sample of the stop motion;overlaid with music.
